Bosses are actually not as strong as they sound, they are only about 4x stronger than their normal counterparts.

Characteristics

Boss Mobs are usually the same size as a normal mob of their type (except for slimes...) you can tell if it is a boss by their color, they also have a name shown in their health bar above their head. That bar is also colored. Along with more health, they are much more strong, leaving a good size dent in the player.
